  • PHYSICAL GUIDELINES FOR THE SCHOOL YEAR
    (Effective July 1, 2018)

    Physicals are now required for new students and students in K,1,3,5,7, and 9th grade. Please note these grades are different from previous years. It is not to early to call the pediatrician and schedule an appointment.

    Dental Health Certificates are also required for these grade levels.

    IMMUNIZATION REQUIREMENTS FOR 2018-2019 SCHOOL YEAR

    Parents/Guardians of students entering grades 6-10 please note the information regarding the Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis (Tdap)
    and Meningococcal vaccine.


    In all matters related to health services, Global Concepts Charter School (GCCS) adheres to Section 136 of the Regulations of the Commissioner of Education for the State of New York.

    School health services are designed to determine the health status of a child. They include but are not limited to: medical examinations, scoliosis screening, vision screening and audiometer tests. In addition, health services are intended to inform students, parents and guardians, and teachers of a child's health condition subject to federal and state confidentiality laws. Health services are also intended to guide parents, children and teachers in procedures for preventing and correcting defects and diseases and to instruct the school personnel in procedures to take in case of accident or illness.
