Lackawanna’s Global Concepts Charter High School’s humanities class turned their cafeteria into an exclusive “What it means to be human” Fashion Show representing American formalwear as well as ethnic formal wear fashions from around the world.  The catwalk, lit with lights and paper flowers became the perfect runway for the students to steal the show from the actual fashion on display.   Humanities teacher Mrs. Timea Braun and her students rocked the school with two “looks” and an entertaining intermission that featured a song and a solo dance act.

Mrs. Braun explained “In the Humanities class we strive to explore what it means to be human by exploring different facets of humanity. This unit focused on Fashion. As a culminating project, the students and I decided to put together a Fashion show for our school which represented our Global outlook. The students created decorations, crafted persuasive letters, called fashion boutiques, and collaborated with staff and other students to make it all happen! We hope to put on another show next year that represents, even more, cultures and features ethnic performances."
