Book Exchange
- There is time at the end of each library class for students to participate in book exchange.
- Books need to be returned before a new book selection can be made.
Overdue Material
- Books are considered overdue after two (2) weeks.
Lost or Damaged Materials
- It is the responsibility of the student to pay for lost or damaged materials.
Grade Levels:
Kindergarten
- One book allowed.
- Book care is reviewed extensively before students are allowed to check out books at this level. Literature based
assignments are taught in the library.
First Grade
- One book allowed.
- Students areencouraged to make appropriate book choices and to look for a book that is a good fit. Literature
based assignments are taught in the library.
Second Grade
- One book allowed.
- Students are encouraged to make appropriate book choices that meet their
interests. Instruction on beginning library skills and literature based
assignments are taught in the library.
- Participation in the Accelerated Reader Program.
Third Grade
- One book allowed.
- Direct instruction on library skills and literature based assignments in the
library.
- Participation in the Accelerated Reader Program.
Fourth Grade, Fifth Grade, Sixth Grade
- One book allowed.
- Direct instruction on library skills and literature based assignments in the
library.
- Participation in the Accelerated Reader Program.
