Here at Global Concepts we place a strong emphasis not only on academics
but also on character. Quality character education helps schools create
a safe, caring and inclusive learning environment for every student and
supports academic development. It fosters qualities that will help
students be successful as citizens, in the workplace, and with all academic
curriculum. It lays the foundation to help students be successful in all
the academic goals we have for them.
At GCCS we honor students each month by encouraging each teacher
in the building (all grade level teachers and all special areas) into choosing
a student that they work with whom exhibits the chosen trait of the month
in their everyday interactions with others. This year we will be
honoring our character students of the month with a special monthly party,
a coin to use at our school store, as well as at the quarterly honors assembly.
As always pictures of all our character students of the month will
be on display in the hallway across from our language rooms.
Take the opportunity to talk to your child each month about the
trait of the month! Remember a little CHARACTER goes a LONG way!
